We are excited to announce that we are launching a brand new accredited 15-week course to support local people to look after themselves.
Every year we hold a Wassailing event to awaken the trees at the historic St Laurence Orchard in Southend and preparation is in full swing thanks to the South Essex Conservation Volunteers.
Christmas came early for around 100 of our staff, volunteers and members this week thanks to a generous donation from Nat West who subsided our members Christmas Meal at the Cricketers Pub in Westcliff-on-Sea
At Trust Links, we promote the benefits of healthy eating to all our members who recently spent time enjoying and utilising the vegetables they grew, and learnt how to turn them into cheap, nutritious meals.
At Trust Links, we recognise that caring for someone you love can be challenging, which is why we reach out to hundreds of unpaid carers each year, and some of our carers recently shared an early Christmas meal at the Toby Carvery together.
Trust Links member, Lou, has enjoyed learning new skills and furthering her interest in woodwork, she said “coming here helps me to interact with people and gets my creative juices flowing.” Our hand-made festive decorations will be on sale at our Christmas Fayre this Saturday.
At Trust Links we value our members wellbeing as well as their personal development. After completing a Level 1 NVQ in Practical Horticulture with Trust Links Steve said “there is lots that I am asked to do, things that I never thought would be possible, but now I am confident to get involved and help.”
