New shop makes way for Wellbeing Hub
We are delighted to announce that we have opened a new shop at Growing Together Westcliff, thanks to a kind donation from the Lions Club of Leigh-on-Sea.
The new shop will sell honey produced on site, as well as seasonal plants and vegetables. Most importantly, this new installation will mean the cabin that was once used to store these items can now be used as a Wellbeing Hub supporting local people with all their wellbeing needs.
Support will be available 7 days a week from 1pm-4pm. Visiting the Hub will be a variety of agencies that provide help and advice on a range of issues. These will include STARS, Citizens Advice, Peabody Housing, Southend Carers and Everyone Health (Health Trainers). The Wellbeing Hub will be a great addition to the support already available at Trust Links, and it will make accessing help much easier.
The Wellbeing Hub will officially open at our Christmas Fayre
on Saturday 30th November. All are welcome to pop by and take a look at the support on offer at Trust Links while enjoying the festivities. The Fayre will feature festive stalls and food, Christmas carols and even a visit from Father Christmas and his helpers.
Matt King, Chief Executive at Trust Links said: "Christmas can be hard for people with mental health and wellbeing issues, so the support our new Wellbeing Hub will offer could be critical over this period and long into the new year. We are pleased to be able to bring so many agencies together to provide a range of support and welcome everyone to stop by our Christmas Fayre and find out more about the work we do.”
Philip, a Trust Links member for over two years, said that "the new shop is much better because all our items can be seen. I really enjoy serving customers as I’m proud of what we sell.”
