New Wellbeing Hub opening this weekend at Westcliff

We're pleased to announce the launch of our brand-new REACH Wellbeing Hub, at our Growing Together Westcliff site.

Trust Links offer a wide variety of support at each of our sites in Westcliff, Rochford, Thundersley and Southend. But with the Hub comes additional immediate support to those seeking help or advice around mental health seven days a week. As well as finding out ways to access support through the Recovery College and other Trust Links services, the Hub will have a number of other agencies on hand to offer advice around topics such as carers support, benefits, healthier lifestyles, drugs and alcohol and housing. The Hub will be open seven days a week from 1 pm to 4 pm, excluding bank holidays, and is open for people to drop by without the difficulties of trying to book an appointment.

The launch of the REACH Wellbeing Hub takes place on Saturday 30th of November and is a part of the annual Trust Links Christmas Fayre. The free event will take place at 11 am until 2 pm, offering the community a chance to familiarise themselves with the serene therapeutic gardens and visit the Hub while also enjoying the festivities of the Fayre including carols, Christmas food and treats, a Santa’s grotto and other activities for the whole family.

Matt King, Chief Executive of Trust Links, said: "We are delighted to open the REACH Wellbeing Hub at our Westcliff site. The Hub is a much needed new resource in the community, enabling people with mental health issues to access information, advice and support when they need it. I would encourage people to come and see the Hub at the Christmas Fayre and we are pleased to be welcoming Southend Mayor and other dignitaries to formally launch the Wellbeing Hub at this festive event. As an independent community based charity, Trust Links is pleased to have secured funding from the NHS for the next five years to run this important project, which will help to transform and save the lives of people with mental health problems from across Southend, Castle Point and Rochford.”
