We are excited to announce that we are launching a free accredited 15-week course to support local people to look after themselves.
Funded by Castle Point and Rochford Public Health, the course based at Growing Together Rochford and Thundersley, will run one day a week and will include learning vital life skills such as cooking and eating healthily, as well as having a go at physical activity such as gardening and yoga taster sessions to boost fitness.
Course facilitator , Anna Ostler said "Eating well and participating in physical exercise is not only good for the body, but it is good for the mind too, and this course will boost wellbeing for now and the future. Plus, all participants will gain an Entry Level 3 Qualification in Personal and Social Skills making this a fantastic learning opportunity for people that are looking to get back into employment, or those keen to invest time into their own personal development and wellbeing.”
Looking After Yourself starts on Monday 4th February in Thundersley, and Tuesday 5th February in Rochford, and spaces are limited. For more details call 01702 213134 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
