Christmas Fayre and Wellbeing Hub launch raises nearly £1,400!

On Saturday, Trust Links officially opened our new REACH Wellbeing Hub at the Christmas Fayre. We welcomed over 200 people to join in with the festivities and learn more about the free wellbeing support available in South-East Essex.

Once again we opened up the therapeutic garden at Growing Together Westcliff to host a family friendly Christmas celebration which raised almost £1,400 for the local charity. Guests enjoyed music from the Trust Links band, as well as carols, festive cakes and the opportunity to browse the craft stalls and charity’s new shop.

The Worshipful Mayor of Southend-on-Sea, Councillor John Lamb, officially opened the new REACH Wellbeing Hub at Trust Links during the festivities. Guests were given the opportunity to meet the team, who are keen to support local people in accessing help and advice from a range of local providers. Everyone Health are just one of the partners that will be working with Trust Links to provide advice and support, and they joined the Hub team on the day giving away free bags and pedometers to keep people active over the Christmas period.

Matt King, Chief Executive of Trust Links said: “Christmas time can be hard for many, especially those struggling with their mental health, and this timely launch of our new REACH Wellbeing Hub means that we can provide help and advice 7 days a week. We are so grateful to everyone that came along to the launch event and our Christmas Fayre, and are thrilled to have raised so much money to support our work.”

The REACH Wellbeing Hub is situated at Growing Together Westcliff on the corner of Fairfax Drive and Prittlewell Chase and is open from 1pm – 4pm, seven days a week.
