Our mental health and wellbeing has never been more important. Trust Links runs a range of projects and services to help address mental health needs in South Essex, whilst seeking to improve the natural environment and people’s connection to nature.

Wellbeing Hub Project Workers – £17,550 – £20,500 pro rata

We have more than one position available for this role, and offer full time or part time contracts.

The Wellbeing Hub provides holistic wellbeing support, peer support and multiagency service delivery through Southend, Castle Point and Rochford, with the aim of preventing and reducing the demand on secondary mental health services. The REACH Wellbeing Hub Team work closely with the Crisis Café, REACH Recovery College, Growing Together and Carers Services.

The Postholder will be required to:

  • Provide one to one and group support for adults with mental health issues
  • Deliver one to one holistic assessments with adults with mental health issues, capturing impact through agreed outcome measures
  • Liaison with and attendance of Multi Disciplinary Teams
  • Signpost and refer to other agencies
  • Work with the team to improve outcomes and wellbeing for project members and the broader community

Growing Together Project Workers – £17,550 – £20,500 pro rata

We have more than one position available for this role, and offer full time or part time contracts.

Growing Together is a therapeutic community garden project with sites in Westcliff, Thundersley, Shoeburyness and Rochford and plans to expand to Basildon and Canvey Island. Growing Together provides positive activities, meaningful social interaction, training and wellbeing support. The inclusive project aims to improve mental health, wellbeing, physical health, social connections and employability. Growing Together employs a transformative approach, shifting people’s identity from ‘service user’ to becoming a ‘member’ and ‘gardener’. Growing Together hosts other Trust Links projects and services at its sites for a range of beneficiary groups.

The post holder will be responsible for providing day to day advice, direction, support and training for members of the Growing Together community garden project. They will develop, deliver and lead horticultural and other activities for vulnerable adults, school groups and youth groups. They will also ensure good maintenance and horticultural development of community gardens in line with the garden plan.

Bank Support Workers – £9.32 – £12 per hour depending on experience

We are also seeking bank support workers to provide support to our projects. The hours of work are sessional and will depend on the need of our projects.

The Post holder will be required to:

  • Provide day to day advice, direction and support for members (beneficiaries) of the Growing Together projects or other Trust Links projects
  • Develop, lead and deliver activities and courses with individuals and groups of adults, young people, children and/or families
  • Work with the staff team and volunteers to improve outcomes and wellbeing for project members, supporting their recovery and holistic needs
