Trust Links Live Highlights

Trust Links Live is our online platform on Facebook, where you can watch daily videos from Trust Links members, volunteers and staff and get wellbeing support and mental health tips for lockdown. The Trust Links Live page on Facebook is a brilliant way to stay connected with other members, volunteers and staff while observing social distancing. There are private groups for REACH Recovery College, Growing Together, and more.

Here are some of our favourite videos from Trust Links Live for you to enjoy on our website.

Fiona plants seedlings in the garden

Fiona, from REACH Recovery College in Rochford, shows us how to plant seedlings using nothing more than egg boxes and groceries from the supermarket. It’s the perfect time of year to try your hand at growing your own vegetables. Even if you don’t have a garden or green space, all you need is somewhere sunny for plant pots and a little bit of ingenuity.

Gareth demonstrates Zen-tangle drawing

Gareth’s regular Friday slot is one of our most popular features on Trust Links Live. Here, Gareth shows us how to draw Zen-tangles, an easy and relaxing way to create art using patterns, which also shows how there’s no such thing as a mistake in art.

Penny’s Thursday Thoughts

Every Thursday Penny’s live videos are a helpful space for you to get some hints and tips for dealing with your own feelings and wellbeing. Here Penny talks about the importance of being open with yourself about what you’re feeling, and how, in these strange times, we all need to make sure we’re being kind to ourselves.

Annette at Growing Together Westcliff

Annette is a friendly, familiar face around the garden at Growing Together Westcliff. While you can’t join her planting, potting and digging in the garden, she’s here to show you how to look after your plants and make the most of the lovely sunshine.
