On Monday 3 August 2026, Beacon informed Trust Links of a data breach affecting the third-party system we use to manage information about our supporters, donors and service users.

What happened?

We want to inform you of an update regarding the cyber-security incident on the 29th July 2026 affecting Beacon, the third-party system used by Trust Links to manage information about our supporters, donors and service users.

What information may be involved?

Beacon’s ongoing investigation has concluded that an unauthorised individual likely accessed and downloaded a copy of its customer database, which may have included information held by Trust Links, such as contact details and any files stored within the system.

We are not currently aware of any misuse of personal information, and there is no evidence that the data has been published or shared. Beacon has addressed the security vulnerability, reset relevant credentials, and implemented additional security monitoring and controls.

What should you do?

As a precaution, we recommend remaining vigilant for unexpected emails, phone calls, text messages or letters, and never sharing passwords, security codes or financial information in response to unsolicited requests. Trust Links will never ask for your password or banking security codes.
