Join a fantastic Guided Walk This Summer! Two unforgettable coastal adventures – one vital cause

Step into history, discover hidden landscapes, and support mental health in your community. In summer 2026, Trust Links invites you to take part in one (or both!) of our extraordinary guided walks: the Mulberry Harbour Walk and the Broomway Walk.

Both events offer once-in-a-lifetime experiences led by expert guides – and every step you take helps support our vital work improving mental health across Essex. Spaces are limited, so early registration is encouraged.


The Broomway Guided Walk – Foulness Island

A truly unique challenge • Historic pathway • Known as the “deadliest footpath in Britain”

Take part in a one-of-a-kind fundraising experience: a guided walk along the historic Broomway – an ancient tidal path connecting Foulness Island to the Essex mainland near Great Wakering. Often referred to as “the deadliest footpath in Britain”, this spectacular and surreal landscape offers breathtaking views and a rare chance to follow a route steeped in local history.

This walk is age 14+, with under-18s accompanied by an adult. Meeting points will be emailed after sign-up.

Mulberry Harbour Guided Walk – Thorpe Bay

Dramatic views • WWII history • A photographer’s dream

Hidden just off the Southend coast lies the colossal Caisson C1–126, one of the surviving sections of the famous Mulberry Harbours used during the D-Day landings. This 3-mile coastal adventure is planned around the perfect tides to give you incredible, close-up views of this extraordinary engineering giant – ideal for history fans, photographers, and curious explorers.
