The Trust Links Eco Days workshops promote positive, practical ways to living a more sustainable lifestyle with easy and low-cost activities that can help to reduce our negative impact on the environment. 

Eco Days workshops cover a wide range of engaging subjects and can be delivered throughout Southend, Basildon, Rochford, Castle Point and online.

Eco-Friendly Craft & Making Activities 

Home & Lifestyle 

  • Candle Making: Using sustainable waxes (e.g., soy, beeswax), natural scents, and reusable containers. 
  • Natural Cleaning Materials: DIY cleaners using vinegar, lemon, baking soda, and essential oils. 

Food & Preservation 

  • Jam / Marmalade / Chutney Making: Seasonal, local produce; glass jars; reducing food waste. 
  • Fermenting: Sustainable food preservation using natural processes (e.g., kombucha, sauerkraut). 

Gardening & Nature 

  • Seed Sowing: Organic seeds, homemade compost, recycled pots, water conservation.
  • Bird Feeders & Seed Bombs: Wildlife-friendly, biodegradable materials for easy nature support. 

Seasonal & Decorative Crafts 

  • Wreath Making: Natural, biodegradable materials like twigs, dried flowers, and herbs.
  • Paper Collage & Decoupage: Recycled paper, upcycled surfaces, non-toxic adhesives.

Trust Links don’t want fees to be a barrier to individuals or smaller organisations experiencing financial hardship. A number of the courses can be offered for a reduced rate, or in some instances free, making them accessible to all, so please mention this when applying. *Discounts for Groups of 10+ / Current Supporters / Concession Prices (check availability) Free Spaces (check availability).
